Nice to meet you!

I am so excited to see you here and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself, my coaching and how it came to be.

I went on my own personal growth and self-discovery journey after I had my son in 2014. I felt motherhood was overwhelming. I felt a loss of identity. I felt more inadequate than ever before. The lack of confidence in my new role as a mum seemed to affect all other areas of my life- particularly my career.

I returned to work with the ambition and desire to take on a leadership role. My career always has been a big part of my life and I've taken pride in my achievements.

Needless to say, that I had totally underestimated how hard it would be to continue at the same pace with very young children (I’d had my second child by that time). I felt incredibly insecure and anxious, I had a tonne of imposter syndrome to deal with and started to question whether women with young children should have careers at all.

“You can’t have it all!” some would say…I didn’t want to accept that! So I had to rediscover myself and find a way to live the life I wanted to live. Through coaching, a lot of reading and self-study, a good amount of mindset work and reflection I started feeling better and more connected with the version of myself I wanted to be.

The transformation I underwent during those years gave me the peace and happiness I was looking for. I started to realise that all the experience that I had gathered in my work-life as an HR professional and a manager gave me a lot of the tools I needed to drive my own career forward, as well as guide and support others to achieve their personal and professional goals. It was then that I started to build the foundations of what has become The Happy Mum Project.

I discovered that there are 5 key elements to being successful at work and enjoying motherhood:

🌀The standards we set when it comes to our parenting

🌀The confidence we have in our professional skills and capabilities

I believe that by gaining an understanding and creating self-awareness in these areas, we are able to implement healthy habits, thoughts and behaviours that will empower us to achieve a true state of happiness, balance and fulfilment.
